Echo and ECG Services
An electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) is a test that checks how your heart is functioning by measuring and recording the electrical activity of the heart.
An echocardiogram also known as echo is a graphic summary showing the movement of the heart. It is a test that uses high frequency sounds to show the shape and the size of your heart. This test allows your doctor to see how your heart is pumping in terms of viewing the chambers and the valves.
An ECG and/or Echo is done when you experience the following symptoms:
- – Rapid pulse
- – Chest pain
- – Heart palpitations
- – Shortness of breath
- – Dizziness, light-headedness, or confusion
- – Weakness, fatigue, or a decline in the ability to exercise
